The Prague studio ABV was founded in 1991 by the architects Petr Benda (*1953, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague) and Jan Viktorin (*1956). Over the years, others also worked at the studio, including Alena Bendová, Eva Letovská, Vojtěch Popelka and Veronika Suchánková. Primarily, the studio designs housing projects for developers as well as designs for private housing mainly in Prague and its surroundings. Recent projects include, for example, a complex of three apartment blocks set into the slopes of Zlíchov in Prague (2013) or the apartment block Paví vrch in Smíchov, Prague (2015). The ABV studio also carried out a range of production and office buildings for the Best Company which makes concrete products, the most accomplished being that of the company grounds in Vranín (2002). Projects dealing with the reconstruction of historical buildings in Litomyšl are not commonly part of the studio's activities.
